I'm curious what other people think about (spoilers for the substance) there being a shared continuity between elisabeth & sue / them having shared memories of each other's time? i had initially been interpreting it as yes there's some kind of continuity between them but it's fuzzy & they don't share 100% of memories or anything but then the bit where elisabeth is watching sue's interview on the tv made me think maybe I was wrong bcus they seemed much more separate in that moment than I'd been taking them as.

& my partner had assumed the whole time they had totally separate continuities & there weren't any memories shared between the two which does make sense with that interview scene & also the waking up and seeming surprised by the bottles / food scraps.

I find it hard to imagine tho that elisabeth would want to continue doing it after the first time if she didn't retain or experience anything from being sue? or it's just even more sad of a mindset than how sad I was already imagining it to be since she'd basically just not exist anymore at that point considering she doesn't seem to do much with her time as herself. anyways yeah I'm curious what other people thought about this topic

katnep is the type of ship you'd expect nepeta to try really hard and dress all cutely and karkat be a bit more lazy and wear the same clothes BUT if we're all being honest karkat would absolutely dress up all fancy and nepeta would wear her usual clothes. karkat would go to kanaya in a heartbeat, kanaya would try to reach out to nepeta but nepeta will not comply.

bonus points if kanaya continues to try and make something pretty but also comfortable and fitting for nepetas tastes but it backfires because she then never takes it off and kanaya has to watch it very clearly become worn and ruined as nepeta rolls around in dirt. Kanaya accounted for that of course, but nepeta somehow surpassed her expectations anyways

This past summer when political stuff was happening, I was already having A Time and I just started knitting more and watching Ghibli movies for hours on end- and it really helped. It not only took my mind off of the state of the world, but I was able to step back and be proud of my progress on my little project.

A rabbi I just talked to told me about how whenever the community was Going Through It, she was always prescribing art- she ran out of canvases because she gave so many away.

And making things really does help!

You don't need to just make things- play a silly little game, pet an animal (dogs are soft. warm creechurs. beloved (<- has a dog)), listen to a silly little podcast or music, watch a cozy show or movie.

But don't doomscroll. You get stuck and it's so hard to pull away.

But if you ARE stuck, take this post as a sign to just. Close the app. Close the tab. Stop now so you don't get even more stuck. Use this post as a pole to pull yourself out of the mud, or have someone else help distract you and pull you away from doomscrolling.
